    INGREDIENTS
    2 pounds freshly chuck, grounded
    ¾ tablespoon onion powder
    ¾ teaspoon normal salt
    ¾ teaspoon fresh black pepper, grounded
    10 slices deli-counter American cheese
    5 large burger buns, preferably homemade, toasted if desired

    DIRECTION
    Step 1
    Get an averagely large bowl, mix ground freshly chuck, onion powder, salt and pepper until just combined. Mix moderately so your patties will be tough. 
    Step 2
    Split into five portions and form pastries, ensure uniformity in thickness. Do not press too hard. Make surface cracks fine with finger, keep at room temperature. 
    Step 3
    Heat up your grill pan and add burger patties, cover with the lid. Cook for about 2 minutes. Gently test, but don’t flip it until burgers lift up easily.
    Step 4
    Flip, add two slices of cheese to each, close lid, and cook on the other side for about 2 to 3 minutes. 
    Step 5
    Take out burgers with a sturdy spatula and transfer to a plate. Allow to cool down for several minutes, and then serve.

    Feel free to garnish with ketchup, mayonnaise, sliced red onion, sliced tomatoes, sliced pickles, fresh lettuce leaves.
